Hi. My name is Brad Mirtes. I live in Nashville Tennessee with my wife Tonya and our four boys. I have had many successes and many failures. Marrying Tonya was the smartest thing I've ever done. The stupidest thing is ... well... let's save that for a different manuscript.
Let me introduce my sons. Luke (far left) is 20 and a junior at Tennessee Tech in Chemical Engineering. Luke plays the violin in the Tennessee Tech Orchestra. (He's teaching me to play the violin.)
Daniel (far right) is 18 and a freshman at Nashville State in Nashville, Tennessee. Daniel was diagnosed at 2 ½ with autism. He’s a very unique young man who says he’s been “autisified”. After high school Daniel plans to pursue audio engineering.
Aaron (fourth from right) is 16 and a junior at Ravenwood High School in Brentwood, Tennessee. Aaron is very creative and plans to go off to film school after high school graduation. (check out AaronMirtesFilms.com)
Noah (second from left) is 11 and a seventh grader at Sunset Middle School in Nolensville, Tennessee. Noah’s interests are wide so, it’s hard to tell at this point which interest he’ll pursue. Noah plays cello in the Sunset Middle orchesta and he's very good at the Yo-Yo as well.

Here's a brief review. In high school, I cleaned a beauty shop and sold shoes to raise money for flying lessons. In college, I was an electrician in the Air National Guard. After college, I was a flight instructor, a flight school manager, a commuter airline pilot, a car salesman, residential and commercial roofing estimator, back to the commuter airlines as a flight instructor, and finally a pilot for FedEx flying the Boeing 727. Yes, all it in that order.
Long story short. My childhood flying dreams came true and now I get to fly the "Big Iron" and make big bucks but... here's the thing... I have a schedule that allows me the freedom to help other people.
Here's why you might consider starting a business of your own.
You see, when you work for someone else, you surrender control. It doesn't matter if you make $5 an hour or $500 an hour. Industries change...radically sometimes... and there is NO industry these days that is off limits to the change. [Enter] the need to have your own business, one that you'll have complete control over.

Along the way I've done many different side ventures to make some extra money. Real estate, vending machines, loan brokering, insurance, network marketing, etc.
